“I am proud and honoured to have a Layne Beachley Surf Camp,” said Beachley.
Thus began the five day Layne Beachley Camp which was run from 14-18 June and was organised by Surfing Australia.
The group of 14 girls were trained on contest strategy, skills, technique and included video coaching, fitness evaluation, judging and equipment seminars, breath enhancement training, nutrition and mental preparation techniques.
